Leadership Coaching is a GREAT Investment in Your Future!

What to do? What now?

These are questions that are on most of our minds right now. What “was” isn’t any longer, what “is” doesn’t seem to make sense most of the time, and what “will be” is anything but clear. We have two choices right now: 1) take action; or 2) do nothing. For some of us, waiting is the right path — we’re in extreme distress, and need to reach a level of emotional and mental health related to survival before we can spend a moment thinking about the future.

For the rest of us? Waiting just puts off the inevitable need to look at transformation. It’s time to design our futures — and time for us to break through our historical biases and limiting beliefs. And that can be downright terrifying.

Let’s face it — transformation can be hard. REALLY hard — especially when you feel like you’re going through it alone.  Who do you talk to?  Your boss (most of the time) isn’t helpful, nor are your peers, or your staff. Your family is tired of hearing the stories about work, and your friends don’t understand.

It can be extremely helpful to get an objective, 3rd-party voice to question our assumptions, to point out our limiting biases and beliefs, and to offer powerful clarifying insights when it comes to “what’s next” for us.

Team Tipton’s leadership coaches are ready to do just that for you — each minute you wait for “insight to drop from the sky” is another minute you’ve not moving forward in designing your future. Take charge. Reexamine. Focus on what IS possible. Recontextualize. Reimagine. We can help you do just that.

  • Stop ruminating about “what was…”
  • Accept and adapt to “what is…”
  • Realize your preferred future of “what will be…”

Audrey Cruz (Coach for Emerging and Non-Profit Leaders)

Audrey Cruz, Leadership Coach and a Team Tipton Senior Change Architect

Audrey Cruz (Leadership Coach for Emerging Leaders):

Areas of focus:

    • Emerging and Nonprofit Leaders
    • Strategy
    • Business Sustainability

Quite often with impending change, we go through the motions, muddle through, and try to just survive the experience. Change has a way of giving life to negative thoughts and depleting our energy. As a result, we miss opportunities – for our organization and ourselves.

I’m here to help you truly thrive and discover your best self in times of change. For over 10 years, I’ve coached emerging and nonprofit leaders as they navigated changes at the intersection of their professional and personal lives. Change can’t occur without us showing up to do the work. To do that work well, we need to show up as our whole selves. Through our coaching sessions, you will:

    • Identify and cultivate purpose
    • Determine strategies, tools, and resources to accelerate outcomes
    • Create a clear, action-based approach to your desired future

Intentional change is not for the faint of heart. It takes hard work, continual introspection and reflection, and the willingness to examine the world through a new lens. That’s why my coaching approach is grounded in positive psychology and research-based practices in motivation, mindfulness, and change management.

Don’t let fear hold you back. Whether you are here for performance or developmental coaching, your positive energy can be harnessed, expanded, and amplified to move toward a successful, sustainable future.

I would love to take this journey with you.

Bob Tipton (Coach for Executive Leaders)

Bob Tipton, Executive Coach and Team Tipton’s CEO / Principal Change Architect

Bob Tipton (Executive Coach):

Areas of focus:

    • C-Suite / Board Challenges
    • Disruptive Strategies / Innovation
    • Transformational Change

I have a passion for coaching — over the past 20 years I’ve been fortunate to have worked with hundreds of individuals as a coach; assisting them with significant life and career transformations. While each person’s story is unique, there are some patterns I’ve discovered — especially when a transformational change is on the horizon.

    • Often, some form of suffering is required before a transformation becomes “real.”
    • Transformations happen “in due course,” and can’t be just pushed along.
    • Taking time to dream, to explore options, to connect to your “unique story” is a vital thing to do.
    • Being able to take on a “beginner’s mind” when looking at new options is a huge first step.

I only have room for a small number of coaching clients — I’d love for one of them to be you!

Dan Clemens (Coach for Mid-Level and Senior Leaders)

Dan Clemens, Leadership Coach and a Team Tipton Senior Change Architect

Dan Clemens (Leadership Coach for Mid-Level and Senior Leaders):

Areas of focus:

    • Director / Manager / Supervisor Challenges
    • Team and Interpersonal Communications
    • Transformational Change

I blend personal and career coaching with lessons learned as a high school baseball coach to help individuals take the next step along their developmental path.  Sometimes this may include helping the individual discover the next steps, or it might mean offering insight and support while they gain comfort with a new routine.  Together we brainstorm, strategize and consider consequences and then debrief after taking action.

I believe that those who are most successful in life and work (as well as sports) are people who excel at making adjustments.  Unsatisfied with the status quo, they routinely:

    • Identify new opportunities to achieve goals
    • Develop a strategy
    • Take action

I relate well to the challenges of those reporting to the C-Suite as these mid-level directors / managers are often responsible for implementing and sustaining organizational change.  This presents a much different challenge than designing the change or strategy, requires a unique skillset and approach.  I also enjoy using my experience in organizational and interpersonal communication to help individuals better communicate and align others to common goals.

I’d enjoy learning about your path and the obstacles you face!

Start with the End in Mind:

We conduct leadership coaching for one of two reasons: coaching for development, or coaching for performance.

Developmental coaching is a process of becoming self-aware about how our behaviors affect our abilities to lead people.  It is about developing skills and abilities that will help us adjust our work behavior traits to be a more effective leader.  It is about building emotional intelligence to better serve the teams that we support.  It incorporates and leverages the best characteristics from both personal and work environments.  It builds an individual’s leadership identity.

Performance coaching is a process of creating action plans that achieve measurable goals and objectives.  It occurs during a finite period of time, it focuses on goal setting, it is action oriented. It is often associated with accomplishing annual goals, interview preparation, annual review development or reporting, and communicating to an audience effectively.  It is work-related and proactive.

Some Final Thoughts…

A clear purpose and coaching pathway can help you see how your development contributes not only to your personal sense of accomplishment, but also to the overall success of your organization. You’ll find meaning in your work. You’ll engage. You’ll innovate. You’ll achieve.
