More About Erin

PERSONAL: Erin is happiest when near a coastline, having grown up in Florida and now living in Los Angeles, she doesn’t mind which ocean as long as one is just a short drive away. If she isn’t at the beach with her two daughters, she can be found in a yoga class or on a hike. Wherever she is, her supply of dark chocolate is fully stocked.

VOLUNTEERING:  Erin is a proud alumna of the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. She currently contributes time and energy to the LA-based non-profit the Garden School Foundation and to Citizens of the World, the public charter school her 8 year old daughter attends.

BELIEFS:  “I believe in trying our best every day to deeply consider other perspectives.”

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE:  “That we as a society choose to transform our schools into what they could be – centers of love, safety and creativity for all children.”

Two favorite quotes:  “Be bold. If you’re going to make an error, make a doozy, and don’t be afraid to hit the ball.” (Billie Jean King), and “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” (Maya Angelou)
